I did not plan to write again... But I will add... You advise turning to sponsors and foundations... but do you know how tired we are of humiliating ourselves... I have known the clinic for 3 years. When I came to the clinic, my 4-year-old daughter hardly spoke at all, she had a hearing impairment, hyperactivity, was frightened of everything, and had tantrums and seizure-like episodes. Now my child speaks well and understands everything, and the episodes, tantrums and fearfulness are gone. Now my child attends a gymnasium, and I will definitely come back for procedures to strengthen her psycho-emotional state

I did not want to write much, but there is something to say and something to share. Space Clinic has a warm atmosphere, cozy rooms and a very comfortable setting. The specialists are real professionals who know what they are working with and how to work. A deep bow to Olena Yevhenivna: seeing my child, she identified the problem right away and immediately assigned the right specialists. The cost, yes, but it is worth it. When we lay the foundation of a house, we must remember that it has to support the whole house and life in it, and in my opinion you cannot save money here. Forgive the comparison. A special child is not a sentence: for these children the whole world is in their head, rather than them being in the world. It is hard to understand them if you do not accept the situation. A mother cannot do with her child what a person trained for it can do. If you do not work with such children, there will be stagnation, I am speaking of my own child. Not knowing how to help my child... I would have lost a lot sitting at home. These people know how to work with children, they are ready for what even the closest family members are not ready for. I saw other children come to life here and brought my own child, and in a month we have learned a lot. My child began to take an interest in life and to slowly discover himself and others. They have to go out into such a big world, such trials await them... And it is also nice that here they do not criticize you but take your side to help you and your son. I will not talk about our Ukrainian medicine in the field of autism, because it does not exist. Sadly, you will not find anything like this clinic anywhere in the post-Soviet space. Here, in one place, there are specialists who work with children with autism, cerebral palsy, delayed mental and speech development and more. comprehensively. We have been to many places, and mostly they deal with speech, or emotional intelligence, or hardware stimulation of the brain, or all of it plus massage (and if you are lucky, sensory integration on top), or a psychologist and sensory integration. None of this is complete or comprehensive. Here, thank God, there is everything, even a pool with specialists who work with children individually. Neither in Moscow, nor in Lviv, nor in the capital of our great Ukraine, Kyiv, is there such a comprehensive approach. I am a father of many children, three of whom have problems, and the middle one has a severe form of autism. We pulled our eldest through after organic damage to the central nervous system, at 3.5 he did not say a word. I was skeptical about one of the rehabilitation courses at this clinic, Space Clinic. I thought it was just headphones with music and that the talk about frequencies was a scam. We got a referral from the neurological hospital and money from the city council for one Space Clinic course 5 years ago. At the 7th session, a child who had not eaten meat since early childhood and had a terrible appetite, and was losing weight because of it, started eating meat and his appetite improved. After the second course (13 sessions) he began to pronounce sounds, though not fully. Our second child was also registered with a neurologist, and at 1.5 years we described the symptoms to the doctors. They told us "why are you describing the spectrum to us?", we did not understand what they meant, and they did not refer us to a psychiatrist. We are very grateful to Olena Yevhenivna personally. When we brought our eldest for another assessment at the age of 5.5, by which time he spoke indistinctly and did not form sentences, Olena Yevhenivna, as a psychiatrist, not only drew our attention to our middle son (then the youngest) but also carried out an assessment, saying that the child might have autism and that we should ask for a referral. We got to a very good child psychiatrist in our city... The diagnosis was confirmed... For us it was a bolt from the blue... We kept hoping to the end that the doctors were wrong, even after staying twice with the child under observation in a children's psychiatric ward and even when going through disability commissions... OUR WHOLE LIFE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN and gained a new meaning: the fight against autism. We searched many places and methods and found nothing better than Olena Yevhenivna's clinic. We are a large low-income family, so sessions are very expensive for us, but everywhere else is more expensive and worse... in Kyiv it costs about twice as much, and the state facilities are no good, just an imitation of treatment. We know that we are among the parents of children with disabilities, so we urge you not to give up or lose hope, to look for money (foundations, the internet, radio) for rehabilitation and to find the strength, not only physical, to fight such serious conditions as autism and cerebral palsy. Remember that the fight for a child bears fruit not after one or two sessions, but over years. For 5 years now we have been pulling our children through thanks to the specialists of this clinic, and we have victories our middle child was like a deaf tin soldier staring past you, who at the age of 2 only occasionally mumbled. I want to say that it is not for nothing that people have been coming to the clinic for many years from different parts of Ukraine and beyond. The clinic is included in the "List of rehabilitation institutions and healthcare facilities that carry out rehabilitation of children", so children can receive rehabilitation here even during lockdowns.
